I subscribe to a newspaper called Old News (http://www.oldnewspublishing.com/), which is like a regular newspaper, only it reports on past events. I decided to type up the stories for my fellow historians to enjoy, and at first I had them all in one file, but decided to break them up into individual stories so people could read what they want without slogging through a giant block of text. Plus, I'll be able to update more often. :P

I remember when I first heard Muddy Waters. I got hold of a cassette copy of the Best of Muddy Waters from the Chess label in 1991 as a freshman in high school. Blew my mind. I've been a blues junkie ever since.
Alan Lomax to my mind is nothing short of an American hero. So much of the musical legacy of America is available to us almost solely due to his efforts. Great post!
