Omg I love the face and those ears im not so much a fan of the fluff either though, maybe making it just around the neck and down the chest instead of out on the shoulders? Are all the colors going to have spots? Also did you end up making this mesh or not? I can't tell from the picture x.x

Ah ok new you were thinking about it before but didn't know what you had decided!

I started making a meshed av... then changed my mind following the comments of the journal and started another sculpted. Which is why it took long after the deer's releases to show something.
People were not ready for meshes yet, are they now ? I don't know, I saw Kzk will make their next AV meshed; since they are more than well known it may help a lot of people to switch to meshes.
We will see! But sooner or later there will be meshes

yeah i think the viewer issue is still there as far as mesh goes, plus i've heard from creators there are some pretty big bugs still with mesh. so i think it's ok you waited. i saw that with kzk and i saw derp released their bat as both sculpted AND meshed O.o im apprehensive about the mesh kzk avatars, but i guess we'll see how it turns out.

regardless of that this looks really cute and i can't wait to see them all finished :D

I think I read that phoenix are going to make phoenix viewer (as well as firestorm) mesh compatible. If this actually happens it should open up mesh for many more people (even those who simply refuse to embrace progress and viewers based on the v2 codebase :p, I think this will be a great time to start meshes.

Easier to start by making 3 colors and reducing to 2 than adding a third color later :P

I like it, though like others have said, maybe make the fluff less jagged and spikey-looking. But definitely still keep the fluff. Boarder collies are fluffy.

I'll probably end up buying one when I can anyways

The avatar looks absolutely cute. As one commenter earlier stated the fur does look like spikes. And im intended to agree with them. As just a suggestion might want the neck fur to be like the fur you did on the feet. More...stream lined and not so jagged and maybe with a touch of transparency? (hoping i am making a little bit of sense). Also Im hoping that you are making the neck fur a separate attachment and not a permanent part of the avatar. Me personally I have a few avatars that had attachments for chest fur and it worked out nicely. I love having the choice personally.

Overall though the avatar is turning out great! I cant wait for the release of the avatar in-World! I will definitely be waiting in line for one. This is the main reason why I keep to Dark Spot Designs. Keep up the fantastic work Oken! <3

I've changed the fur and no it's not transparent sorry. I'll update the picture soon.
The mane is composed of regular prims ( torus ) so you can take them off is you want sure!

I think you need to work on your body shapes, all your avs appear to have noodle-legs (too long and thin) which makes the thighs look highly disproportionate to the lower legs. It's not a big deal though since it can be easily edited, just a peeve of mine...
