Shine looked down at her paws as purple markings began to appear, altering her usual fluffy white cat fur. Dark clouds filled the sky as she noticed darker tufts of fur between the purple stripes, almost illustrating the new feeling of anxiety. She had originally chosen to become an Oinos crux, but she knew very well that Oinos did not have black fur.

As the transformation slowly started to become complete, Shine bent over and examined herself in a nearby puddle. Something had to have gone wrong, it HAD to have! She was a completely different crux now...The same purple markings that may be found on an Oinos, but instead with primarily black fur. Even her chest symbol was different, appearing as a crescent moon. She looked up towards the sky with pleading eyes, scared and confused.

"What happened? Why didn't I become an Oinos?" She asked. Almost as though some cosmic being heard her, a few bright beams of light broke through the clouds and shone down on her. In her heart, she suddenly received her answer.

"You cannot be represented as only one...There is another spirit within you. With this transformation, both of you will shine through."

And with that, her eyes shifted from a gray-blue color to an almost glowing light aqua, reflecting the eyes of another. With her transformation complete, she suddenly understood, and suddenly she felt the first flicker of pride over what she'd become.

This was just a little story thing that popped into my head the other night when I changed my purple/black crux's eyes to Midnight's eye color XD This image has been in my head ever since, and I felt the NEED to sketch it/color it in XD I dunno how much I like how the final product came out, considering my usual struggles with shading black things, but eh, still cute and was just a quickie anyway ^^
