This was commissioned by the kind bloke known as  sonichomeboy who has followed my works for a long time. :) He commissioned me to draw his two characters, Eddie and Lucy.

Here they are kicking back on a sandy dune overlooking the landscape of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  sonichomeboy didn't request a scenario per say (at least not that I remember specifically O_O ) so I went with a beach setting. Naturally, since his characters seems to be always at the beach. It took me some internet browsing on ideas for a pic before I saw inspiration. Eddie playing his acoustic guitar with Lucy listening and being in love.

The sunset used in this photo was actually taken by myself when I went to Rio de Janeiro back in 2008 for Carnaval! AW YEAH! I took this picture at Arpoador near Ipanema beach. Me and my pals watched the sunset from here. I figured this would work best with the theme I created with the two characters. Being playful and flirty with each other. Eddie playing some bossa nova type tunes on his guitar, and Lucy being all vixen-like. Even though she's not a fox ha ha! :D

I miss Brazil. But I was with great company so that helped my experience. 8) Well, I worked for a day and a half on it trying to get everything down the best I could, a lot of trail and error. I wanted to capture the light of the setting sun against their backs, which explains the glow on them. As well as the sand near their feet showing them submersed instead of being static and laying on sand that had no texture around them. I also had trouble with the shape of the acoustic guitar, so I borrwoed a reference pic from online, traced the base of it and altered it. Anyways, I hope  sonichomeboy enjoys this.
