Saving this as well. I really suck at any sort of shading. You really make it look so easy. I have some sketches to test this on. Will try using your tutorial today. Thanks for the amazing tutorials. Please post more in future.
Keep up the good work. Really love your art .... Especially the paws

Very nice - I'm really glad you're sharing this stuff man; your tips and tutorials were a major reason I even attempted drawing and these are all the more helpful for folks trying to get the basics down. The tip about a darker section above the dark section is a good trick too - that's one I'm still trying to master, but it really does make the image pop more.
Heh - well, to anyone who's good at something, the basics will always seem supremely advanced to those who are still learning. I drew stick furs when you first met me... and I didn't even do a good job at those! Your "basics" gave me the basis for how to draw, so this stuff/info is definitely coolbeans. ^_^
Sweet! Thank you for this! I love learning from fellow artists. Especially on things like this. There's a couple things I didn't know that I can try applying in future. I like to use the multiply option on my brushes because sometimes it can give a richer shade to the color that I'm working with. It can be difficult at times though, because if I mess up on a certain shade, then the multiply will make the shading even more darker.
I find this particularly interesting because, in my case, my work is either cell-shaded or blended. Seeing your method has made me realise that your work is very much a mixture of the two - something I hadn't really noticed before. And I must say, stylistically, it's very attractive.
(Though I could never be bothered with inking - Photoshop has always annoyed the hell out of me anyway. Lol!)
