Personality: Naut is a very high-stepping, proper gentleman. He comes across as knowledgeable and intimidating, but he's really a big softy once you get past his size and appearance. Nautelius is hard working, loyal, and very easy going. He is anti-conflict, but if cornered, he is willing to fight his way out. He prefers a soft hand and an owner who is willing to take the time to work with and attach themselves to him.
Bio: As a breed who is very durable and powerful, Naut was -- against his horsey will -- cast into a war. He was used for pulling equipment in hard-to-reach areas as well as a horse-shield for soldiers. Nautelius was mostly used to pull cannons and valuable equipment, so much of his time on the battlefield was amidst enemy fire and tug-of-war for the cargo he carried/pulled. As went much of his life, and though he lived through much of the chaos and saw the death and debris first hand [or hoof], he remained neutral. A part of Naut felt that choosing sides was for the beasts and against his delicate sensibilities -- that is, until an enemy soldier loosened him from his too-heavy equipment and coaxed him off the battle field before his seemingly inevitable death. Naut fought side-by-side with this man. Though rough around the edges, he was very gentle to Naut and found him relate-able. Now the two are among the last remnants of his new friend's band of soldiers, fighting their way through enemy lines.
Take note: He has a very pronounced Roman nose. Naut's hair is always curly and can by in any style or cut. His tail can reach the floor enough to slightly drag unless you want to draw it cut shorter. His scars aren't permanent, so feel free to draw them however you want. Please note that most of his scars will be shrapnel, bullet wounds, and cuts along his lower legs from the rough terrain he pulled equipment through. His left eye is blind from shrapnel, but his right eye is okay. He can be drawn with protective gear. He has large, heavy hooves and is very sure footed.
