The holiday season is here! Time for us all to go out and celebrate the good fortune and prosperity we enjoy under the benevolent guidance of our wondrous world order. So go out, get up extra early or even camp out all night at your favorite store so you can be one of the lucky ones to make tremendously satisfying purchases of the presents that are necessary to make the lives of you and your loved ones happy and meaningful! This is the true spirit of the season!
There have been great advances in technology since last I spoke to you. Our scientists have succeeded in creating machines which can be controlled by mind power alone! No doubt many of you have heard of these robots that we are beginning to manufacture to help the sick and infirm with their daily lives. What a wonderful breakthrough, and soon it will become an everyday part of your lives! I caution you not to listen to the wild rumors though. The ones that say we have also done the reverse and made machines capable of controlling the minds of the people. I tell you now, and you WILL believe me!! There are no such machines and we would not use them if there were. So be calm! Go about your business contentedly and ignore the seeming chaos you may perceive about you. It is but a figment of your imagination and will soon pass.
Above all else....remember.... War is Peace....Freedom is Slavery

(Hefty nods to George Orwell for having realized what the future held way before anyone else. I shamelessly used much of his because it is true. Also for the idea of the mind control machine and the world leader telling the population that they WILL believe him about it's non-existence, I owe a science fiction writer whose story I read many years ago and cannot remember who or the name of the story. But that line has stuck in my head for a lot of years. I've been wanting to use it myself all this time! ;3 )

Excellent! :) I'm at lunch while at work. the place is dead!! But by 8 or so I imagine it will start to fill up with the people who want to be first in line for the 10 o'clock sale. I'll still have nothing to do but schmooze though. ;3 Its tough collecting double time for doing nothing, but someone has to do it!
