You know it was just a matter of time until I commissioned another pirate fox, did you not? Actually, it is seldom enough I draw or let draw my main character Jaqard duSang.
But you know what? It is so awesome that every single time, the artists fully realize what this guy is all about.
He is no hero. He is not generous and forgiving at all.
But he is adventure! He is freedom!
He is individualism and a hunk to dream of!
He is a GODDAMN PIRATE! XD
Really stunning how Pokkuti interpreted him. The scars look quite dynamic and excellent here, pose is classy, and those great digigrade legs top it all :D Besides that, it is only the third time at all you see him on my gallery shirtless. Astonishing, is it not?

As much as I love Pirates, I prefer the idea of a buccaneer/privateer even more. :P
They're Pirates, but with a mandate by the crown of whatever country to fuck up the other sides ships while getting backed up by the other. And I bet some smart pirate sure took advantage of that system, double crossing everyone.

However I would not consider buccaneers at a whole as privateers. Just Morgan and a few others had an official diploma, while most other sea-robbers from Jamaica and Tortuga have been mere pirates just focusing on Spaniards because they needed other nations to supply them. Buccaneer comes from the native word boucan, meaning roast, so it was just a local name for those guys primarily hunting and selling the dried beef to passing ships before Spanish tried to kill them all
