Hah! But what's up with the "Take that, Ponibooru!" comment? They been kvetching about 'teh awful furries' again?

Someone (not KT himself) has been posting KT's pony art there. Things like Granny Pie, etc. which have no OC characters (particularly KT himself) are well accepted, but then someone posted his whole "KT visits Ponyville" where he and Pinkie become good friends. PB was all over that, complaining about not only the OC making out with "mai waifu", but the strangeness of KT (a 5 legged turtle?) and his speech patterns in the comic. (For those that know KT a long time, this is just part of his character, no problems). At some point they have considered KT to be retarded. Mind you, this is not all of PB, more of those that fled from 4chan for pony stuff, as opposed to us from the furry/animation side that are used to KT by now.

Basically it seemed like anytime one of KT's non-OC comics was posted, someone there would say "thank goodness no stupid turtle in this one" and other comments along those lines.

Also to note that as soon as "May the Best Pet Win" there were a few comments going "thank goodness it hasn't mutated a fifth arm and making out with RBD".

Thanks for explaining. And I've noticed the hostility towards OCs of any sort; more than a few otherwise well-done fanfics have been torn apart because they dared to include an original character. Which is something I can't even pretend to understand.

I think its still a resentment by 4chan-ers that they have to "share" the fandom with furries (for all practical purposes, MLPFIM is a furry character, even if they aren't humanized ponies, but the furry side has usually been *very* good keeping any of the extreme stuff out of the general brony fandom; in other words, furries aren't forcing the brony community to accept furry, just they have to share nicely with both). Of course, the 4chan side is OMGWTFBBQ and refuse to admit this falls into the furry aspect.

So you take a OC like KT (which is perfectly legit in furry circles) who KT the person has developed the characters with fun idiosyncrasies that the furry community enjoys, but look like mental problems to anyone that refuses to understand the furry culture. I think it is compounded by the fact that KT's fursona is NOT ponified in said comics, making it a double doozy of OC-ness and non-pony-ness.

So basically, its just fun to watch their reactions to this stuff. It's not intentional (KT's not posting these to there, that's up to their side to do that) and its more like "I get it, you don't like my OC. I do. Too bad. Don't read if you don't want, as I'm not putting my stuff on PB for you to read." And I think after the "Time to troll" comic, most realized that KT is not a stupid person nor vindictive. Most, that is.

Ehh.. 4chan has to fight about something.

MLP is about as furry as Looney Tunes: Technically, it fits the criteria, but in actual practice they're two different things.

I don't see Granny Pie anywhere in Ponibooru. Did they remove it? Not properly tag it? D:

To be fair, meeting a canon character and instantly making out with them is one of the signs of a bad OC.

Which is exceedingly fast compared to the real world, and exceedingly slow in entertainment-time. Take from that what you will.

I'm still waiting for KT to find a way to morph his signature into a small character of KT and Pinkie swappin' tongues.
