By the end of the convention, I was running out of ideas for characters I wanted to commission. Then I thought of John, my cynical newspaper reporter character... and just happened to pass by Aki's table. Boy am I glad I stopped by!

Yes, John has that "I hate my life" expression permanently affixed to his face. Very little brings him joy these days, aside from the occasional great lead he has for a story. Mainly, though, he treats pretty much everyone in his life like a jerk. He can be fun to write, in the right scenes (where his harshness comes off as comical rather than just plain rude), but otherwise, he can be hard to sympathize with, and understandably so.
