Posted for lulz...

I originally drew this last summer, around this time. A few months later, I decided to try to color it in Photoshop, so I could practice coloring digitally. I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, and I generally finding myself using more layers than I should. By the time I finished this (I think, May? Not sure, but it took a long time) I absolutely didn't care any more. The mountains in the background were thrown together because, among many other problems, the horizon line was wrong. I believe this was about 45mb when it was done (I think 3000x2500 and about 10 layers in photoshop). It got to the point where opening this would slow my Powerbook to Windows 95 proportions. It became so big, so bloated, and so stupid at the end that I just sorta gave up.

Bark on the trees turned out pretty good though. And I did learn a lot doing it.

Even though the picture is old, and I can do better now, I would still like critique. You might catch something I didn't. I imagine there's a lot.
