I was warned once that he was one of the more lunatic fringe writers, but have never actually seen any of his work.


If he is at least entertaining, I might give it a go.
The problem I have with most socialist/communist/anarchist/conspiracy type/way out there sort of writers is that the vast majority of them are boring, or about as interesting as dried cat turds to read.

Mostly, they get so full of their own self importance that they're insufferable.
And take themselves deadly seriously, so that the very idea of entertaining a reader is like blasphemy to them.

Nope, ol' Chomsky's not boring. And since he reports on what the "conspirators" themselves have said/written, it's hardly conspiracy theory. These guys don't really bother to hide what they're doing, trusting that we're too lazy and stupid to do research. And too disenfrancised to do anything, even if we do wake up and smell the blood.
Don't take my word for it, see for yourself. The books are cheap, and lots of his writing is available for free download.

For another fun read - Steven Scharma's 'a History of Great britain" series is excellent. Bright and interesting. The volume "The Wrong Empire" is a delight!

Cactuses are pretty amazing. I had a tiny cactus growing on one of the tires of my pasture mower, once.
