Thunder cracks and booms. Lightning streaks across the sky. The scene is set not for a storm, but for an epic battle. It.....is........the.......beginning........of.......the......END!!!!
This is the result of a paranoia and being OCD with the music editing version! My past two stream's were devoted to the editing of this song, little by little.
Some history behind this song is that is a song written for a dear friend of mine,
Kamduis_RavenPaw. She asked me to write her a song, this was my first real trade/commission ever done. So i wrote her this song on the piano and recorded it Link to piano version. Since my move back to Japan, i no longer have my piano... so ever chance i get to visit the states again (Georgia), i will play the hell out of it... get your pen and paper and make note, i will take piano requests then! So back to as i was saying, i no longer have my piano, so i am trying to do orchestrations! Yay, i got the rest of my East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra... so i am orchestrating the CRAP out of my existing stuff! This is the first real piece i have done that i will not go back to edit unless i hear a blip in it a few days/weeks down the road.
SO, she asked me to write her a song for her novel, and in return she would do fractals for me. Those fractals are now hanging on my wall... thank you Kinko's. I think its a fair return.

i go mad sorting through all the articulations in EW... the keyswitched ones are the most convenient, but i cant run many of those at once before my compy starts coughing ;)
im ALWAYS ALWAYS trying to find ways to get better fast, articulate stuff... like convincing short notes that are useful for fast things, especially at low or moderate volumes! I think the addition of the close mic samples will really help in that regard; the natural reverb on the stage samples makes a lot of fast stuff sound blurry.
in those regards, I think you chose well on this one! ^_^
i look forward to when we can work together. hehe. we must be patient, and hopefully our time will come.

Just... realized that I keep pressing play without thinking about it, instead of download! ...most certainly an enjoyable piece! ...I say piano is still tha' most beautiful and fits anywhere... but how much you are enjoying your pocket orchestra, and how it shows in your work... just as splendid to listen to~!
