Prince of Denmark's March by Jeremiah Clarke
(Formerly known as Trumpet Voluntary by Henry Purcell)
4 minutes 26 seconds
Until I wiki'd ''Trumpet Voluntary'' to find out the date of this piece for this submission, I had thought this popular wedding piece was written by Henry Purcell. Turns out it wasn't and has a totally different name!
The live performance that this piece was a part of was plagued by technical difficulties. The connection between the keyboard and the tape recorder cut off often - that happens one time in this recording. By the end of the outside performance on that hot day, the black tape recorder had overheated so much in the sun that it ruined the recording of the final piece (Ludwig Van's Ode to Joy).
Performed live on Casio CT-670 keyboard and Tascam Porta-1 4-track tape recorder on July 20, 1996 for my friends Tom and Patty at their wedding in Half Moon Bay.
Music composed ~1700 by Jeremiah Clarke (public domain)
