Wire cages are good for rats because it provides ventilation and a place to climb but wire cage floors are awful because they are one of the leading causes of Bumblefoot.

that cage is way too small for the three of them. and also, wire floors are horrible for little rat feet. you should think about getting a bigger, better cage.

Well considerably, I got this from a man who is going to vet school and also takes care of many animals. I do understand wire cage is bad for them, but I can promise this cage is large enough for them, with it being four stories high. And the oldest rat, Wanda, has not suffered from bumble feet yet and she probably only has a few more months left on her. I have taken extra precaution on everything that revolves around these rats and their health.

Thank you I didn't see your other comment before, and I might look for a better cage, it is an option I have been looking in to. But I am going to school as well to become a vet, I only wish for the best of my pets, and others.

yeah, and cages are not cheap by any means. lol. good luck with school.
