I really, really like the ambience of the whole piece. The electric guitar threw me off a bit, but I could see it working. The choral voice I guess, seemed more synthetic than the rest of the music, but still all very lovely

I worked hard on getting that town, floral ambience too it and I think it came out pretty well, glad you liked the ambience ^^
The electric guitar I added too introduce a new phase, maybe a transition too the electric would help not be so out of left field xD
Oh yeah, vocals are probably the hardest thing too replicate with samples (human voices have such a color and timbre that's so hard too replicate). Unless I resort too loops, I don't think I can get it too sound any more real, I could tinker around more.

Everything here was composed, arranged, and performed by me using virtual instruments through my midi keyboard, no loops. 100% original by me

Oh yes, there will definitely be a final version of this, my finals is on December 16 so I'll have the final version of this song done by then and it'll be 3+ minutes long. :)

Funny, alot of art and animation inspires me in my music. It's like a ebb and flow between two different kinds of artists; I find that so fascinating

It gives the feeling of an isolated place, a very blue place. I don't mean that in a 'it doesn't sound like a town' way, as it certainly does sound like a town! Perhaps it's a destination town though, somewhere the player has been trying to get for a long time, with lots of waterfalls and stone structures, beautiful spires and the like. I don't know if that's what you were going for, though, so I don't know. xD Take what I say with a huge grain of salt.

I get what you mean, maybe this would be suite better for late-in-the-game village cause it's very dramatic for a beginning village. Once I finish writing it up, I think we'll have a better idea for it :)

I got such a grand feeling from this song, which is really odd , considering it's so quiet and ambient. It feels like somewhere really special and really peaceful. In that way, I could easily see it being someone's hometown, too. I don't know how to quantify it really. The song feels 'big' though. It's really good stuff.

I really like where it went to just guitar and piano.
The whole thing is really good.

The 8 second silence at the beginning bugs me a little bit (even though I know it's just a demo).
Although the voice sounds a little bit fake at the moment (mainly at 1:10 - 1:15), you could either change it up a little bit to make it sound more natural or add a different instrument in place of it (maybe a soft violin sound? maybe with a little reverb?) which might make it sound quite a bit better.

I'm not sure why there was 8 seconds of silence too begin the track with, I'll adjust that.
I already decided I'd change the voice into a different instrument like a clarinet or violin cause now that I listen too it, it doesn't sound too hot.
