Oh wow! I really like what you did here! I think your improvement shows here, i can see you got the proportions mapped out very well!
I can see the hands were a bit of a trial. I have trouble with those hands too in arkward positions. But again, you layered them out acceptably well!

Only thing i can think of that would improve it, is making Sonic's eyes a little more stretched out upwards. Then again i havent seen the ref picture so perhaps its shown him looking more downward.

I'm working on the skeleton of a human now. Once I get that down, anthros shouldn't be a problem. I gotta find more time to draw though.
