And not gonna lie, I've actually done something similar to this in real life. Back in high school I decided to drive my '90 plymouth on a road that recently had its asphalt scrapped off. I didn't see the manhole cover sticking up and BAM!!!! I tore a giant hole in the transmission pan. I was late for school so I kept driving and parked it when I got there. I looked underneath and there was tranny fluid purring out. Once I was done with class there was a huge puddle in the parking lot and I noticed a tranny fluid trail leading all the way back to where I hit the manhole cover. I got it towed and luckily I didn't cause severe damage. Just a new transition pan and fluid.
