I'm not particularly satisfied with this song. x_x There are some more things I could've been able to add into this song, if it wasn't for the limitations of the ModPlug Tracker software, and the abundance of samples available I could use. (I plan to "remix" this song again in the future.) However, the melody turned out quite nice, though. =)
By the way, "penjelajahan" means "exploration" in Malay. And yes, that's my voice at the beginning. XD
This is the radio edit version. For the full version, you can obtain it at http://www.soundclick.com/marwangreencritter. This radio edit is nothing more than the full version with its intro and outro chopped out, so nothing serious here.

Thanks. =) I admit, it's rare nowadays that I'd get to find quality trance music on the Internet. x_x Commercial trance music (the ones frequently played on TV and radio) could be blamed for this, and most people got introduced to trance music via commercial trance (I was one of them). I aimed to avoid these clichés, and write trance music the way it's meant to be.
Well, it's difficult to explain, really. One good resource (though not entirely reliable) you can read can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trance_music Actually, not all commercial trance music sound that bad; it's just that some trance music purists sometimes felt that they aren't even worthy of being called "trance music" because these songs were produced not out of the musician's own creativity, but for mass profit. A typical commercial trance music often contain lots of (too often female) vocals, and the music structure is often based from that of pop music.
Also, sorry for not being entirely clear of what I wanted to say. x_x Actually, I also got more and more sick and tired of hearing some crappy "trance" music productions posted in SoundClick.com nowadays. But I know I shouldn't say that; not everyone's a pro, anyway. Hence, the reason why I felt the need to post my own music there, too.

I don't mind female singers really, in some songs it adds to the relaxing soothing feeling. :)
I also like Basshunter, who does hard dance with lyrics sung by himself, one of the very few male voices I like ^.^
But I guess you're more trance-oriented, but if not, check https://www.basshunter.se

Oh Shit! I love your style! And the way you made your voice sound in the beginning was AMAZING! I used to do this stuff with my old band, but it fell apart. im trying to get backinto music again, but i can't find anyone to play with me... It's just me and my boyfriend..
Heh, thanks. XD The effect at the start is actually the result of time-stretching my recorded voice using a sound editor, and then I deliberately added too much reverb so that it sounds appropriately eerie to listen to. ^_^;;
Oh, and good luck in getting back into music again! =)

Thanks. =) Yeah, I'm kinda aware of that. x_x However, keep in mind that the majority of many trance songs nowadays also suffer this same sort of "same intensity" problem. It could be due to the nature of the genre itself.
Though, that doesn't mean there aren't some very talented trance musicians who are able to get around this "same intensity" problem and make the 2nd half of the main climax section more intensifying than the 1st half.

you're sooooo skilled at trance, FAR better than I can do...but the only thing I hear wrong with this song is that it needs just a LITTLE more intensity, and it would be a club hit, I'm sure! :D but everything else is just so perfect...the mastering, the energy, the musical composition itself...it's a masterpiece! I can't wait to hear more from you, dude <3
Thanks. =) That's strange. O_O Anyway, I've becoming less fond of SoundClick anymore... Maybe I should start uploading full 12" version my songs here in FA instead from this point on. x_x
Also, actually, Penjelajahan is one of the rare moments when I actually like the shorter radio mix better than the full version. Why? The full version's intro and outro were meant just as they were designed: to be megamixed together with other songs, so they're kinda a bit boring than the main section at the middle itself. I plan to someday remix this song to the better, with a much better intro and outro for a change.
