I meant to mention that the barrel, while it was 'up close' in Image 1 is fluted along the exposed section of the barrel. If I recall correctly fluting has something to do with cooling the weapon down, I also like to believe it reduces a small amount of weight from the weapon.

You can see the hand guard a bit better in this view. I might go back and add a holosight and possible a forward grip. *shrugs* Depends on how much time i'll have after my 'forced employment'.
