I couldn't draw the Elder Things without drawing their experiment, the Shoggoth. The Shoggoth was a being created by the Elder Things, they are a protoplasmic being that looks like body parts and organs, with a tar like skin, and eyes floating all over it. The Shoggoth did all the labor the Elder Things demanded, until the Shoggoth developed their own conscious and mind and started to rebel against the Elder Things. You can read about it in H. P. Lovecraft's "At the Mountain of Madness."
