This was written during my freshmen year. I met this guy and how he made me feel and what I thought at the time.


"Nightingale"

Softly and sweetly, sing to me
Like a nightingale on my window sill
delicately and gently lay me down
On a velvet rose
Give me warmth and security while
Holding me close from fear
If I to be released, would float away with the wind
Kissing me lovingly and whisper in my ear
But never those three words, for if spoken
Would befallen a curse

Allow me to stay by your side
For now and then, and ever in between
Intertwine your hand with mine
As we fall to the oceans bottom
