The purpose is kind of an inside joke, but I guess it isn't anymore, because I'm gunna tell you! Whenever a person that I know (Take note that I won't do this to anyone that I have just met) will type out Y-O-U-R, don't you think if they weren't aiming for correction that they would just write U-R? So when people write out Y-O-U-R and it's supposed to be Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E, I hit them with this book; "One Million uses for the word You're."
