If this sounds vaguely familiar, it is! Yet another re-worked song for Fosgate! Having just borrowed money to promote his horse-drawn carriage business, Henry (the horse) hires Rufus (the pig) to shoot a promotional video. Other characters manage to make it into the shot because, frankly, I need more ensemble moments in my shows!
Lyrically, this is a bit pedestrian - so I either need to stage it in such a way that the lyrics don't matter or I need to rewrite them. The song definitely doesn't stand alone, although it's by far the happiest-sounding song in the show.

Yup, that's my Reynolds Contempora, played back when I had a beard and I couldn't form a good embouchure seal to save my life, which is why it was so splatty! Now that you're around and raising the tuba bar so darned high, I really should re-record it, preferably with my Holton compensating valve blunderbuss...
This was one of my favorite songs you uploaded on your old account. While it's still a fantastic song, I feel like the accent and lower voice removes some of the original whimsey that you natural singing voice brought to it. That being said, there's nothing wrong with the lyrics. It's perfectly fine to keep the lyrics pedestrian, since it fits the character, does it not?
The lyrics certainly go along with the plot. There's also a great deal of interstitial dialogue and blocking planned for this one, as Felicity the barrister ends up in the carriage seat and the other characters jostle for attention. In a perfect universe, Henry will play his own guitar as he pulls the carriage. As for the accent, I agree that it's not working all that well; there's such a fine line between "English country" and "pirate" and I just can't split that difference, so rather than take a chance and make Henry too piratey, I turn him into a British Muppet monster. This is definitely one of those songs I can't wait to hand off to a "real" performer, much like all the girl songs from Julie Bunny.
