ArcticLion’s gladiator Yo, driving his fans wild before a fight! This happens on his tour of the Union, in one of the major cities’ arenas.

I composed this from two different screenshots taken on Perfect World International, the only MMORPG I’ve played, with some additional effects done on Corel Photo-Paint 7. In terms of artistic labour this picture is closest to a “photo montage”, since all I really did (once I’d posed and taken the screenshots) was merge the existing elements. As with all MMO 3D rendering, this picture is a strange fusion of exquisitely detailed graphics and crude blocky effects. The poorest part is Yo’s hands, which leave a lot to be desired... He isn’t doing a thumbs-up, as it may look, but holding his hand open and gesturing to the fans. The fingers are foreshortened from the angle (and poor rendering). I added Yo’s distinct “eyepatch” and the lens flare with Photo-Paint. The pants design, while not 100% accurate, is based on this page: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/6714380/

For those who play Perfect World: this screenshot was taken at the entrance to the Arena in Ethersword City. Conveniently, my character already owned a pair of pants like this, and gloves.
