Even tho this happened months ago ( http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2660847/ ), I had trouble working on it.
Was inspired the other day to finally find and finish this Memorial picture.

I decided to show a lesser known side to Ben, tho I've had several other ideas and I may still draw them at a later date, cos dangit, there was a lot to remember him by, IMO. But for now, this is the side I'll illustrate. A newly initiated, wholehearted member to the brony herd, fan of Pinkie Pie and Rarity, artist and wearer of Hawaiian shirts.

And I know he wouldn't have wanted me or any of his other friends to be all bummed out on account of him passing, nah. Actually I'm sure he'd've preferred this picture to be decidedly unsavoury and not for general consumption... but it still feels a little pointless to draw something he'd've liked to have seen... I'll get around to it but i figured I'd go a little fluffy for round one. I think he'd've still been amused by this.

Ultimately I just like the idea that an exuberant Pinkie Pie ushered his spirit to a happy, brighter place. Full of all the things he likes and will show him a good time.

I still miss him, and was really looking forward to watching Season 2 with him, and heck, actually getting a get well/birthday pic done for him too... I think he'd've enjoyed Pinkie Pie's 'Smile' song, and I'm betting he'd've really liked seeing Rarity with her hair all wet...

I think I was lucky to be considered his friend. If I manage another remembrance picture I'll attempt to make it less pony oriented...but we'll see what happens.
