Those who remember 'film' probably recall you had to wind past the exposed leader of the roll. This frame was sunlight exposed on the left and the right side was properly exposed via the camera. What it caught is interesting, at least to me.
The locomotive is most likely SOO 4302 based in the Dynamics 'bubble'.
The car, a rustbucket red Volvo 245.
The case on the seat is a Hitachi VM-2300 SVHS video camera.
Dangling from the headrest is a Realistic scanner which was then hooked up to the CD input on my car stereo to make pacing a train easier while driving.
Scanned Kodak Gold 200 negative.

Nah, FM audio broadcasters at the time (1993) didn't work a whole lot better than they do today, plus it's yet another battery during the winter.
The radio had a direct CD input for a portable CD* player so no reason to get a cassette insert.
*The Magnavox AZ-6843 CD player that I used at the time I just recently came across when cleaning out my old car before sale. It was no longer functional.
