PLEASE NO CRITIQUES: I made this fursuit from common household materials, like carboard, styrofoam, blankets, and plastic ripped off of a marker box for the eyes, she is not the best I can do, but I love her, so don't be mean. <3

The hands and wings look good, as does the jaw movement. The only thing that throws me off is the eyes, but I guess its just their angle of placement and the size of the irises. What type of fur did you use for the head? It looks like very short pile fur. : )

Okay, that explains the short pile look that I was seeing. I'm still working on my suit - but I'm still waiting to pick up my fur and hope to at least get it at the end of this week, or early next week.
I imagine a lot of time goes into building these suits up. A friend of mine was mentioning 90 hours of labor into just one suit. That's nuts, but I imagine the payoff is worth it.
As for your suit, you mentioned its an experiment, so do you plan on making more? There's so many ways of building eyes, so even if you weren't totally happy with them, I'm sure you'll give it another shot. Honestly, I've been building my eyes up using cut out plastic funnels with the area you see through dremeled out and replaced by white buckram and see through black buckram.

Awesome, good luck to you, I'm sure your suit will be amazing! <:D
Oh geeze, yeah, it takes /forever/ to make a suit, even a partial. And lots and lots of work. 90 hours is reasonable. x.x
I'm gonna wait until I have the money for real fursuit materials like foam and mesh before I venture into making another one. These first three I've made were really just practice. The first thing I wanna do is make a new head for Isuzo. From the pic I've seen, your eyes are very well done. Keep up the work, suiting is so much fun!

Upholstery foam is fairly affordable if you know where to look. I've just been clipping out 50% coupons from JoAnn's (you can get them by signing up at the store after making a purchase) then buying 1/2in high-density upholstery foam by the yard. Half price is $5 a yard and it works just fine. The thickest foam you would ever need for a head is 2 inches thick and anything bigger is just overkill.
As for mesh, I've seen that used in fursuit building, but it doesn't seem to be used all that much any more due to the clunky nature of how heads are built using the mesh.
I'd love to see WIP pics of your character as you redo the suit.

Oh I didn't know that about the coupons! Very interesting, I shall have to remember~ Yes, you are right! ^^
And mesh for the eyes, not the actual head. XD I'll be using balaclavas most of the time for the heads, if I can help it~
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind the next time I start on one~

The balaclavas work well, actually. I've been finding them on ebay for around $5 or so, which is a nice, affordable base for a head.
Mesh for the eyes...interesting. Were you using a plastic mesh? I just cut a set of funnels out to make mine. Took forever to get the right symmetry though.

The funnels are made from a semi-soft plastic, so you can cut them with scissors, but they're still shiny, so they have this glossy finish. You just cut out a pattern from the curved part, then dremel out the area you see through. I got the idea of giving it a try after checking out this cool tutorial.
