Warning: Dragon labor
Yay finally finished this. Wow, it took 4 freakin days, but i like the result. Again the coloring was fun yet a pain in the ass. Can you believe it it not dbz related lol and its all marker baby. Enjoy:D
The heavily pregnant maroon dragoness stood by the edge of the cave entrance stretching her wings. Any day now it would be time to lay her 30 eggs. Soon she began to feel discomfort in her lower area, feeling a sharp pain wrapping around her stomach. It must be time she thought making her way to the back. As she approached her mate a massive contraction made her cry out in pain. She gently lowered herself on the ground feeling another contraction hit. The large crimson male made his way towards her laying by her side.

How do you know that in this particular breed that females fight for the right to mate?
Not all birds have the same mating dance.
Not all insects eat the male after breading.
Not all fish have the same parenting roles.
From what I know by looking at this picture, the male is brightly colored to attract the female, and she chooses if he is strong enough to take care of her and the clutch. The fact that the male is by her side as she gets ready to lay her eggs proves that she chose him because he was the best. If she had to fight another female just to breed, you would assume the male would be off somewhere mating with other females.
