Princess Celestia and her sister, Princess Luna, together again at last!
This porcelain plate has been fired six times, each layer of color seperate. The lusters on the ponys' manes and tails (and hooves for Luna) sparkle and shine!
This plate is 11"x14", and is for decorative use only. (lusters are not food safe)
I will be displaying this in Midwest Fur Fest 2011's Art Show, and at Anthrocon 2012.

It's called a luster china glaze, and it is a paint that fires onto the surface of the glaze, instead of fusing into it like the other colors. This one is mother-of-pearl, hence the color effect you see. I swirl the wet luster with my brush to get the effect. The glaze goes on yellow, so you never know how it will fire!
I saw this at MFF! IT WAS AMAZING! Only problem is, I put down $180 to buy that also-amazing Rainbow Dash-Nyancat-Ghostbusters airbrush painting that was made Saturday night (you may have seen it; if not, I'll be posting pictures on my FA in a day or so), so I may bid on this if-and-only-if my pay comes in on time and all my bills get taken care of. I'm newly employed with this company, so pay problems are too likely to happen... :(
