... So a tank crew are rolling along the road, when suddenly they see a vast mess splattered all over the asphelt. They stop the tank and get out, and it looks like someone has run over a military policeman with a tank. There's an armband kinda gooshed up in the mess - a silver whistle... The crew commander decides to call it in to Headquarters.
"Sunray? This is Ironsides 2-2-Echo, Over."
"2-2 Echo, this is Sunray. Receiving - over."
With a heavy heart, the tank commander makes the report.
"Sunray? This is Ironsides 2-2-Echo. We re on the Puckapunyal road south of camp. We have just found a military policeman run over by a tank. Over."
There's no answer. Damnit - is HQ receiving? The commander calls in again, and again makes a connection.
"2-2 Echo, this is Sunray. - over."
"Yeah - Sunray? This is Ironsides 2-2-Echo. We have just found a military policeman completely run over by a tank. Over."
Again there is no answer. Ther connection seems to have been lost. Annoyed, the tank commander calls again.
"Sunray? Sunray! 2-2-Echo. For god's sake, I'm telling you, we have found a military policeman completely flattened by a tank! "
Headquarters is on the line. 'Receiving you, 2-2 Echo."
"Well why don't you answer me? Why do you keep making me call this in again and again?"
"2-2-Echo, this is Sunray. We just love hearing you say it. Over..."
"Sunray? This is Ironsides 2-2-Echo, Over."
"2-2 Echo, this is Sunray. Receiving - over."
