The Opening song used for Elfen Lied. Always loved this. I have had such a bad week, and today was just the straw that broke the camel's back... so this had to be done to calm me down. It worked.
It's still in progress. Let's see if I finish it sometime this century :p
Oh and this is my first go at singing in Latin. :|

Lovely LOVELY voice! Fits perfectly!
Now, if you accept a little help, from what I know about Latin, "indicium" is sang "indikium", and "Quoniqm" is written wrong, it's "Quoniam". Someone typed the word wrongly, and that's how people sing it. But "Quoniam" is the word that can be actually translated.
Not trying to sound cocky, just trying to help. ^^'
Love your voice!

Thanks for the help :D It's actually really hard to hear it on any recordings so I was a bit confused at that bit XD And checking a few lyric sites I couldn't get anything but what I had, so I had to sorta go with it. The singing on the original isn't clear enough to learn from, but had to do my best with it. Not knowing anything about Latin (aside a few words my dad taught me) it makes it hard XD
Maybe I'll redo it so it is correct :3
Also the "Inicium" sounded wrong to me too... I guess because the Latin is sung by a japanese singer (I can only assume) a lot of it is wrong. But since I was basing it on that version I figured I'd roll with it. I know Latin is quite harshly spoken with the C sounds X3
Thanks a lot!

You're welcome! I'm glad you didn't get angry xD
But yeah, it's sung by a japanese singer, so a LOT of her pronunciation is off. But I really understand what you had to base on. And you did a great job with it!
And yes, the C is always pronounced as a K, even with I and E. :3

No I appreciate the help. I want to sing it right, as much as I can. I also sing in Japanese and I try very hard to get that right too, but not knowing the languages makes it really difficult X3 So really I am not angry, nervous at posting things that aren't english but I do appreciate the critique.
I hope your day comes beautiful and your life gets symphatic. There are lot of things that can make us sad. To be sadfull is not bad at all. But to feel every day since feel like it. Thats not good. I wish you can life with the past and with the coming future. You will find good things were hope and people are *you hug*
OMGSTALKER !! Lol. Thank you, I am beginning to think maybe my voice is most suited to the more classical stuff, namely the more religious music/songs out there. I do really like that sort of music, something about it is very haunting at times. I also really love anything with a choir or a capella so hymns suit me a lot. :3 Hopefully I'll get to record this again soon and full length, with the middle choir part.
I have always adored this song in ever form I've heard it and that you've now sung it makes me so completely happy. <3
Your Latin was very good. I've figured (from 4 years of singing latin music in choir) that once you sing it a few times you get the hang of it. :) I hope you finish this, cause you did it wonderfully.
Hope your week is better. :3

Hai :D sorry for the slow reply. :3
I don't really know the foundations of Latin, although I have always been interested in learning bits of it. The problem with this one is the woman singing it is likely to be Japanese and she pronounces half of it wrong XD But I don't know any better so had to go with it. I seem to pick up languages ok to sing in, so I hoped it'd be passable. I might try to correct it, but haven't had time to yet!
What sort of music did you sing, was it religious music? I've been thinking about finding a local singing group/choir but I am unsure about it.
Thank you so much for listening and for the kind compliments :D! x

Hi :3 It's ok, no worries. ;)
Well one thing about Latin I like is that it's pretty much said how its spelled except for a few little things. And yea it sounds like a Japanese woman and she does a pretty good job with it but I like this one better for hearing the Latin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC5nA4paMTU Hopefully that helps. :)
We didn't actually sing too much religious cause it was just high school. We sang all different assortments. We sang a part of Dies Irae which was SO much fun it was my favorite song of all 4 years. And we sang old American songs and German songs and Latin songs and our Tenors and Basses sang Loch Lomend. Which is an Irish song that is just so amazing to listen to and sing. :)
Oh I think you should totally find a choir to join. It's always really fun to hear the different harmonies and melodies. And if the group is really huge (like mine was) you have Soprano high, Soprano low, Alto high, Alto low. lol
Oh sure thing. :3 I'll always comment on your songs. <3

Is this another Japanese singer? Only the pronunciation is the same, but clearer. I had a conversation a bit further up with someone who corrected the Latin for me, is "Indicium" said wrong? and also "Quoniqm"? (suggested to be "quoniam") Just interested in getting it accurate :D So any help from someone who has sung/learned Latin would be great!
It sounds nice with male vocals :D!
I'd love to sing with people. It makes me feel tingly hearing choirs singing together and I imagine it feels very exciting if you love singing.
XD I think I am a Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano... judging by my range. It sorta extends a bit either side of a Soprano.
