I said screw it with titles
I forgot that I didn't upload this yet.
Character I made for the DA group Monstergrrls to show support
This lady is a little menagerie of creatures, gator, fish, human, sea monster, swamp thing, wannabe voodoo priestess.
She's really shy and tends to stay away from humans, but has an avid curiosity about them and their habits. She's covered in a layer of mostly smooth scales, her eyesight is actually not that great and adds to her cautious-ness, and her "dreadlocks" are actually not hair but non moving tendrils that help her sense subtle movements in the water behind her, they only have a slight texture of hair due to being made up of fibers. She stays in mostly swampy areas, hunting fish and snakes. There are others of her kind, but in her 200 years of life she's only met three others. Most creatures don't bother her, she's very strong though she tends to not get into fights. Over all, she's a bit of a scared-e cat.
I imagine her with a gobbly Cajun accent.
I have a better drawing of her in the works that I work on in my spare time (which is also why it's not finished yet) hopefully I'll have that done somewhere in the month.
This is pretty sketchy, sorry, working with my green ink pen.
Any ideas for some strange voodoo/cajun name?
*edit* Her name is now Fantine

I enjoy this picture, first off, it's a really interesting character concept. But also, I noticed you had been asking for name suggestions and, since I figured that Cajun is derived from French, I'd go look through some French names and, if you haven't decided yet, wanted to throw in Fantine, it was a name used in Les Miserables and is derived from the word enfant meaning "child", therefore, Fantine means "childlike", I figured since you had described the character as having some sort of childlike curiosities with humans and whatnot, that a childlike name might suit her.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
