Growing up in New England, my favorite season was fall. The smells, the beautiful colors of the leaves as they turn, the cool crisp air, the promise of cool nights, snuggled down in my warm blankets.

All of that were my pleasures. No matter how bad the day, I could step outside and have leaves rain down on me in warm colors. I could snuggle down into my warm sweater and crunch the fallen leaves as I walk down the road.

But it had been years since I had those pleasures. Leaving in Sc and then Cali, they don't exactly have Fall. At least not the season I'm used to.

But this year, I've been living in Nc with  JTigerclaw's mom while he's been in Savannah. And on days that I miss him, [which is every day] I go outside, crunch the leaves, and turn my face to the sky with the leaves raining down around me.

I close my eyes, and I could almost feel his arms around me keeping me warm. Fall will always be my favorite season, and now I have these lovely pictures to remind me.
