This is "Sora" by Yoko Kanno, featured in Escaflowne I believe.
I have been meaning to do this for months, and someone just reminded me to do it on my last upload X3
So, here we are. A simple a capella version. I pretty much only learned the lyrics on the spot and they are not pronounced perfectly. Hopefully it doesn't matter. It's pretty close.

Lol. See, I'm in the dinning room with my computer...because it's a desktop.
I want to start recording me singing. I'm not that good--I think. I mean, my stuff if high pitched and very limited to songs I'm able to sing. You know?

Yeah if you don't make your own backing tracks in some way, singing over pre-made ones becomes hard since your key isnt the same as a lot of the music you like... I am lucky I can play the guitar e.e or I wouldnt be able to record anything in the right key. I sing very high up too.

I've had a few people comment on my vibrato. I never used to do it much but it felt better to start using it. It's apparently hard to learn, I read. I guess I am lucky in that sense.
Having had no vocal training at all, I tend to breathe oddly and I can't sing stood up so I am just weird lol XD

I never knew this song was from Escaflowne. I've heard it so many times and loved it.

I love this one and Voices. Have you heard Voices? And the beginning of Zero Signal is very nice. I love her vocal arrangements. And also that she uses nonsense languages.
A capella really suited this one XD I couldn't stop myself doing it that way since I love harmonies so much. And yes, 3 parts to this :3 So chuffed you said I did it justice :D!

what language is this? doesn't sound japanese, latin maybe? (shrugs) love the harmonies in this, it makes the listener more calmer, and sets a mood of utter peace. the acapella is also a plus. setting a more smoother, quiter feel, like the gentle breeze of the wind, blowing at you with calm and grace as it whispers sounds of peaceful music
