The arm band shows well enough as well as the caduceus. I am retired US Nave Corpsman and have worn both. You convey the message quite well with the action.

All of my children now where uniforms. What an odd mix of pride and fear I feel knowing they go where I have been.

There are risks, but I know I definitely came out a better person due to my time in the military (4 years USMC and 9 Army Natl Guard), not that I'd care to do it again.
