As for the markings at the top.
The greens and browns are to represent the old form of Army Fatigues
In the Middle, you have your Red and Golds for the Marines.
And the odd colorings of browns and whites....my attempt at the Fatigues now worn these days. I DIDN'T HAVE A SANDY COLORED PENCIL SO SUE ME!
...And before any of my fellow U.S. Furs asks "Hey, aren't there 13 stripes?" IT GOT CUT OFF IN THE SCANNER. ><
My sketchpad is, as I've said before, too big for my scanner...so, one strip got cut off...and my feet.
