Thank you! Actually, way-back-then, I had used a couple of references, but it was the first time I've used my wing painting technique and I've stuck with it!
Tell you what, handling loads of dead birds has helped me learn loads about 'em.

Dud,e you are SUPPOSED to use references! This is the FIRST rule of ANYONE working in the industry.. the entire concept of "Draw from your head" is not one widely supported at all! You are on the RIGHT track!

the glow on the wings is fantastic - i thought this was a CG special effects piece! I'm blown away (no pun intended what with the brass instruments and all that)
