faccc, well okay not totally mostly this is part of the birthday present for my boyfriend the wonderful blue fox
This is a recipe It took me two years to develop, and it seems that folks really like these cookies
If you've met me at AC you might have just had one of these cookies
Triple Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
1 ½ cups Brown Sugar
1 ½ cups Granulated Sugar
2 cups (sticks) Butter Flavored Crisco
6 Eggs
4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
8 ounces (2 bars) German Chocolate (Melted)
5 Cups All Purpose Flour
2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
12 ounces Chocolate Chips
12 ounces White Chocolate Chips
1 ½ cups Chopped Macadamia Nuts
Preheat Oven to 375 degrees
Cream shortening
Mix in sugar, vanilla, and eggs
Blend until creamy
Mix in melted chocolate
In a separate bowl mix remaining dry ingredients
Gradually add flour mixture to shortening,
Mix well after each addition
Stir in chips and nuts
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet with a small ice cream scoop
Flatten with the bottom of a drinking glass
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes
now the cookies should still be rather soft once you pull them from the oven but they do firm up as the cool.
also be careful this is a very thick batter, It's best to mix by hand I have destroyed one hand mixer, a stand mixer and 3 wooden spoons in the making of these cookies over the years
