This comic came from a variety of influences that have hit me recently.
When
xyoshi watched me, instead of wanting an entry in the YWMIDY series, he just said I should do something Michigan-related, since that's where I'm from, and that's where he used to live.
Later,
illogical requested that I draw something for his friend 
buckywhitetale13. I had very little to think about going into such a request; the least vague thing about it was that he liked being macro and micro.
When I saw the
icon on Bucky's profile, I recalled that I recently learned that deer in Michigan are unusually large.
Thus this comic was born.

Awesome. While I haven't seen enough deer OUTSIDE of Michigan to make a good size comparison, I will say that they are definitely beautiful creatures.
And, yes, Autumn is really cool time of year, at least while it lasts (I still remember looking at the reflection of all the yellow and red-colored trees on the water of the Red Cedar river as I walked to and from class. Well, that, and the fact that the squirrels are so tame that it will sniff your hand... before giving it a quick bite). Nostalgic.
