This 'pitter has just completed his 2nd molt with no problems. There are many perils involved in molting; sometimes the skin gets stuck, hindering their movement, and other times they are so exhausted/stressed that they don't survive. In the wild they are of course very susceptible to predators as they sit immobile. Birds love to snack on cecropia larvae.
You can see his new colors on the tubercles-- they have changed from black to red, blue and yellow. The colors will deepen more after a few hours. He is now about 1" long.
