This won the best avant-garde look. Made from basically an entire living room, including curtains, table runner, bad painting, bits out of a dead stereo, leather from a sofa, and genuine vintage birdcage panniers. My second time sewing leather, and my first attempt at a leg-of-mutton sleeve. The ruffled collar that went behind the head unfortunately proved unusable.

The stomacher. It was a mostly maroon bad painting, so it was easy to find a good part to cut out. I added the wires frm inside the stereo as ornament.

I thought that was the most likely thing it was. I think I was looking for a painting that looked like some woods, or some generic scenery, as would be hanging in a living room.

Nah, most of those I've collected are either not on canvas, or are mounted on cardboard so they're much less useful as sewing materials.
