If there's one thing about fantasy that peaks my interest it's the monsters, and really the more exotic and bizarre, the better. With that said I find that a lot of amazing, and also frightning creatures tend to tragically fall into main stream obscurity so I thought I'd try my hand at trying my hand at drawing some of my personal favorites in my own artistic style.


The one featured here is the So'yoko, a cannibalistic ogre from the Hopi mythology which is teaming with monsters perhaps even more so than classical Greek mythology.. these creatures are prominently featured among the pueblos, however typically the dancers and costume is usually the one portrayed so i tried drawing what i thought it would look like as the monster the dolls and dancers are trying to portray. hope this goes over well.
