The Dwarves of Anuris are an old, old race. Not the oldest, that's likely the Akim. However, they DO have an edge- significant steam-technology, and the longest unbroken historical record of all the world. When the other races fell to savagery, the Dwarves retreated to their mountain citadels and simply waited. Well, usually. They had their disasters too. Right now, they're faced with the rising violence of the Goblins.
