I can only faintly make them out on my monitor but what I can see resembles a moire pattern: http://www.scantips.com/basics06.html like in the first photo. Usually scanners don't have this problem with continuous tone work but it might be an occasional software issue since it happens at random.
HAHA! Funfact: Jacq is certified in chainsaw operation and maintenance. I almost forgot about ANY RUM AND COFFEE! That was such an awesome night. So much awesome on this page ^__^
If you wanted to ink them, go right ahead! I would mind sending ya a couple of bucks extra for it. I always worry about pencil sketches getting smudged.
