Player Species: Canids

The Canids are a humanoid Terran species originally created from creatures such as wolves, dogs, and foxes. The Canids have a long and rich history, having (technically) been the first non-Human sapient/sentient species on Earth. The Canids have had almost as much of an impact on Terran history as the Humans have, and continue to be movers and shakers throughout Terran-controlled space and beyond.

By nature, Canids are a social people. Their gregariousness and instictual propencity for co-opperation, teamwork, and leadership are their trademark. Rarely does one see any Canid alone for any extended period of time, no matter their personal temprament. The two major Canid races are divided between the "Wolves" (wolves, jackels, domestic dogs, etc.); masters of social complexity and intrigue, who prefer order and structure to their lives, and the "Foxes" (red foxes, fennec foxes, tanuki, etc.); a people who are prone to relying heavily on chance whenever possible, who would rather let their actions speak for them. Both ethnicities are found primarially in the Larentia Republic, a large inter-stellar nation founded by Canids and who make up the majority of it's population.

Generally, Canids prefer to work as a group instead of 'dealing with things on their own'. Normally Canid characters will opt for solutions that benefit their immediate group/unit/gang/family over ones that benefit only theirselves (although, like anybody, they're prone to selfish decisions from time-to-time). Canid characters benefit greatly from their party members due to their special ability "Pack-mates", which provides a bonus in combat for each ally on the field (and an even stronger bonus for each ally who's also a Canid).
