Since when does a movie have to be out for people to draw porn of it? ;3
Oh and you know, the trailer doesn't really hint at it, probably because the CG wasn't done yet, but this movie is probably gonna have way more CG talking animals than Narnia had.
If you don't want to have a few minor details about the film spoiled for you (no actual plot points though) then you may not want to read further!
In the Dark Materials universe, people's souls exist outside their bodies in the form of talking animals of the opposite sex (called daemons) that are always with them and represent some aspect of their personality.
The girl on the poster and in the trailer for example, who rides the polar bear, has a pine marten as her daemon. (Presumably he's hiding in her coat, since we can't see him, and they are never seperated.)
The polar bear himself isn't anyone's familiar, he's just one of many talking armored polar bears in the film.
Something else that might interest you is that gays and lesbians, unlike everyone else, have spirit animals which are of the same sex as they are. And children's spirit animals can shift forms from one moment to the next as their mood changes, only settling in to one fixed form as they get older.
