Watching tv with my parents
this is pretty much word for word what happens when i watch TV with my parents, in this case it was a show about ufos. My parents are able to solve unsolved mysteries in seconds flat and know everything about video manipulation, aliens, the government, aliens, food, modeling, fashion, psychology, R. Crumb, Joan Crawford (what really happened), music, and aliens. I don't need to think of comics, they happen organically like poptarts in the forest.
The only false information here is the size of the television. (note how it gets bigger and bigger)

My folks used to watch that stuff with something more like... maybe it was bemused open-mindedness, but a kid could mistake it for credibility at the time. This was not reassuring re: the actual probabilities of ever being teleported out of bed by mysterious skull-head creatures to have suspiciously fishing-sinker-shaped objects implanted in your sinuses.
That was also how I ended up doing a book report on The Montauk Project in the fifth grade. In retrospect I really hope that stuff about sucking bad orgone out of penises was only in the followup interview I found years later and not the original text.

i have a book about the montauk project which i've only read about 40 pages of so far, but this was a good reminder to go back to it. I try to be open minded about stuff I'm watching like aliens and ghosts, my opinion is that our universe is super weird and anything is possible. My parents love the ghost shows! I find most of the ghost hunters really tacky and boring.
Also, that's heavy stuff for fifth grade, yipes.
