hand anatomy homework from the weekend, and a sketch from today. I dunno if we were supposed to just copy Bammes for it, but I sketched my own hand and used Bammes to place the anatomy in my own pose. I don't get much out of copying anyway, unless it's a long study where I can really dissect things and rebuild them.

It's very sloppy and I read and thought more than I drew, but I learned a lot. I think they're more like good notes than good drawings.

I think what works for me is to draw the anatomy AND the big forms, layered, to understand how the anatomy causes what bumps in the surface. Like how the fingers are a bit coneshaped at the base.
