Quiet, contemplative and a lady's man. Somehow a muscle bound person being really deep and cynical attracted the likes of Valerie. Somehow their chemistry worked even if Mark doesn't share her viewpoints often. Also the way he flirts with the ladies leaves something questionable about his nature: although he never appears angry or threatening; is it possible his behavior makes him worse than Brian? Perhaps in some way yes.
